Raspberry Pi OS • Using auto_initramfs=1 Blocks FSCK At Boot Execution?

Using auto_initramfs=1 blocks FSCK at boot execution? I added fsck.mode=force to cmdline.txt, as I have done before. However, auto_initramfs=1 now seems to be default for Pi OS latest? What are the advantages and disadvantages of using this setting? As I understand it, this feature should force Pi OS boot sequence to used the static/canned initramfs file? Not sure why or how that would block parameters set in cmdline.txt?
