How is this thread called "Bookworm X", but only gives solutions for Wayland (non-X)?
Here's the problem:
- I'm running Bookworm on Pi Zero 2W with X11. Switching to Wayland is impossible (the option in raspi-config is there, but does nothing).
- wayfire.ini method doesn't work for obvious reasons.
- /etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE-pi/autostart and /home/pi/.config/lxsession/LXDE-pi/autostart methods described in the pinned locked topic do not work for an unknown reason.
Bit of a rant there.
Anyway...
Those methods do work on Bookworm with X11. As do the other methods in my more detailed guide: Running A Program At Start Up A Beginner's Guide.
That alone suggests the issue is in what you have done.
Until you find what the "unknown reason" is and share exact details of it and what you have done there is almost nothing we can do to help you. If you don't know how to find the error see section 8 of my guide. Though, frankly, I'm disinclined to offer you further help given your obvious attitude.
As for your attack on this thread:
- It is about X11 and Bookworm. But you'd have to ask the OP to be sure why they titled it that way.
- Threads are auto locked after, I think, six months without new posts made in them.
- Folks appear to confuse wayland and X. Especially folks who aren't Linux experts*. Many don't actually care which they're using. Many don't know either.
