Raspberry Pi OS • Raspberry Pi OS and WPA3

I used to believe that connecting a Pi to a WiFi AP using WPA3 and the internal WiFi chip was never going to be possible because of HW limitations but I now know that it is possible.

Chat GPT tells me that the Raspberry Pi Foundation is working on updating the WiFi support in Raspberry Pi OS to support WPA3 but it doesn't say how far along they are.

This fix worked for me when I tried it on a Raspberry Pi 4 in April 2024.

This is a pull request which I think is like a patch that will go into an official build (but I am just not completely sure).

It says "Merged" which I thought meant it would be in the next release but it wasn't.

Does anyone know if this patch (Pull Request) is official and what the status is?
