Haver you set the boot order on the Pi 5 so the firmware checks the SSD first?I have a Pi5 running on an SSD and a Pi 02W running on an SD card. I recently added a service that runs at startup and shutdown to send a notification to my phone using pushover.
The boot time differences between these two systems were interesting. Same OS (64-bit Bookworm Lite) on both systems, both running with graphical console disabled. (The date/time with seconds is generated on each host as part of the message)Difference likely due to the longer hardware initialization time on the Pi5, but cool to see that there are Pi systems that can reboot quite fast!Code:
