I've recently added an ssd drive to my raspberry pi 4 and I want to move the user that holds my minecraft server onto a partition on that drive. Currently the user is in /opt/mcserver, I want to move it to a directory /mcserver that the partition is mounted on.
I've found a promising post on the ask ubuntu forum https://askubuntu.com/questions/656/how ... -partition however, since in the post they are moving the entire /usr directory and I want to move a user that's inside the /opt directory I'm a bit uncertain on whether the same procedure is applicable to my case, I'm also not entirely sure on how should I adapt the etc/fstab edit to my problem.
I'm sorry if I'm asking for the obvious but I'm not well versed in the linux environment and I feel that messing something up here could destroy my os.
