Hi,
On my Rpi4, I set my external USB SSD which is self-powered USB and 120GB SSD.
It works for a while, but it soon stalls/power-off.
I tried that hdparm not to spin-down, set APM off, making a script to wake SSD up periodically adviced by chatgpt.
But nothing is successful to prevent external USB SSD power-off.
Only to wake SSD up is to plug off and on.
I guess this is the problem on Rpi because external USB SSD is working on other Linux Lenovo machine.
I guess It comes from Rpi's power-saving architecture
Please give me some advice or hints.
Best Regards,
Shigru
