For some reason Raspbian (all releases) lags well behind Debian for firefox-esr. Perhaps it has become difficult to build for ARMv6.

If you do not need compatibility with first generation, Pi1 and Zero1, then you can download and install the Debian armhf bullseye package from https://packages.debian.org/bullseye/ar ... r/download

Code:

pi@pi3:~ $ wget http://security.debian.org/debian-security/pool/updates/main/f/firefox-esr/firefox-esr_128.5.0esr-1~deb11u1_armhf.debpi@pi3:~ $ sha256sum firefox-esr_128.5.0esr-1~deb11u1_armhf.deb 4dcf14533c6a5255443d6ca132bfef73be23844f2afb7d4fae1731657ec7608a firefox-esr_128.5.0esr-1~deb11u1_armhf.debpi@pi3:~ $ sudo apt install ./firefox-esr_128.5.0esr-1~deb11u1_armhf.deb
Interesting. No I don't need that: test system is a Pi 2, productive one a Pi 4. All others don't run Raspberry Pi OS or are headless. But to make sure I understand this right: this way I would - once - use a .deb package from debian sources. But this way I would need to update Firefox-ESR on my own once a new version gets released, right?
