Raspberry Pi OS • Re: Components needed for Debian to match Raspios

I plan to build a virtual environment using VMWare Workstation or VirtualBox. So, I will need to use Debian for the VM. Is there any information or documentation which shows what has been included or pre-installed with the RaspiOS version of Debian so I could replicate it for my development environment?
You can use RPiOS64 also, the only thing that does not work in a (K)VM is the RPi kernel. Therefore, you need to install the default Debian ARM64 kernel (package linux-image-arm64). Also handy is grub-efi, so your Debianized RPiOS64 can boot in a VM (UEFI). Otherwise direct kernel load. Works fine with virt-manager(QEMU/libvirt/KVM), HW accel on real Pi/ARM, emulated/slow on other CPUs.
