A 9yo laptop is a perfect machine to run Linux on - try some 'live' distros on it to see what you like. ![:)]( "Smile")
I use a RPi as a desktop computer, but I don't 'stream' videos from many websites, but imagine that a RPi5/8GB would be adequate, so guessing it is something configured on those specific websites that you find troublesome.![:(]( "Sad")
