I've just tried to compile from scratch, took a little while but not difficult. I don't know if the build needs to be customized for a more recent Mesa, but compilation out of the box doesn't seem to solve the issue. It still reports "unsupported CPU". A new version has just popped up on flatpak, this is also subject to the unsupported CPU message.
