this web page (page 17) details how to start Hamclock from a terminal.

to make it a menu entry:
1) open preferences... main menu editor
2) select "new item"
3) for name, name it whatever youd like
4) for "command" , enter the command from page 17 above. (with whatever options you'd like)
5) I'd check the "run in terminal" box.

save it, then look for it in the menu. it should be at the "top level", but you can put it anywhere you'd like
