I am trying out Owntone but I have a few issues with it. It's very well possible that I am doing something wrong so I thought I asked here for advice.
Thanks to the instructions, the installation worked fine and I can access the server locally via my browser. However the interface acts very strangely. First of all, when I change settings (for example the language), they won't be remembered for when I close and open the interface (or refresh the page).
But what's even weirder, it always seems to need some kind of refresher to apply some of the actions. I don't even mean a reload of the page...
For example, when I open the interface, I see an empty queue and the icons at the top to select playlists, music, podcasts etc. are not there. But when click on another tab of by browser and then go back to the owntone tab, the previous songs are listed and the icons are there.
The same thing is happening in the play list. If I just startet a song and I open the playlist it says it's empty, even though I hear it playing via the HTTP stream. Switching to another tab and back and I see the song playing. If I hit the pause button, the playback stops but the button isn't changing to the play icon and the slider with the playback position in the track keeps moving. Switch tab and back, and it looks as it should. But around 10 - 20 seconds later I get another half second of that song, which is spooking the hell out of me![;)]( "Wink")
This is happening on Firefox, Chrome and Safari. I've got Owntone 28.12 on a raspberry pi running Linux pi 6.6.74.
Any help would be appreciated, because I really like the idea of Owntone!
