I'm exploring rpi-image-gen to make images for some devices that need the RT patch applied, but the docs don't seem to be explicit on how the kernel gets built / set.
Is applying a kernel patch in rpi-image-gen possible? and is the right tool to be using to do this (would yocto be preferred)?
The direction I am currently heading is pre-compiling the kernel, then having image-gen copy the .img and the overlay files into the correct locations before finishing the OS image, but wondered if there's a better way to do this.
