We are using pi-gen to generate our own custom OS images.
I would like to ask for clarification regarding the firmware version.
We have just built a new image from scratch.
Checking the firmware version in the newly created image:
On the official Raspberry Pi website, the latest firmware version is listed as 1.20250430.
In the release notes of the latest official image, the firmware commit is
"Raspberry Pi firmware bc7f439c234e19371115e07b57c366df59cc1bc7".
I was under the impression that official OS versions are also built using pi-gen.
Could you clarify how the firmware version is selected and why our build does not reflect the latest one?
