Yeah, with the new OS update, I was able to select Multitouch in the Screen Configuration, and it works as expected. Thanks!
I also have a mouse connected, so don't care about the drawbacks. Just want to be able to finger-scroll and pinch-zoom!
I might note that the place you put the config option is pretty unintuitive. I doubt I would have found it, if not noted in the article on the OS update.
