switching the power off without shutting down the system will eventually lead to SD card file corruption. then it wont boot.
the system should be properly shut down before removing power.
are you sure you always shut it down (via the menu) before removing power??
an alternative would be to turn on the "overlay file system" but this makes the SD card read-only.
thus, nothing can be written to the SD card. but the card will not become corrupted by power failure.
and the work-around us to mount a usb stick, and write your data to the usb stick.
