Raspberry Pi OS • VS Code Update

I used to receive automatic updates for VS Code. However, these seem to have stopped. The last version installed was 1.99.3. I am using Raspberry Pi OS. I understand I can manually update using the .deb package but I have no idea how to do this or even if one should. Is there any way it can be added back into the Repository? Am I the only one with this problem?
