I've used the rip imager to create two bookworm sd cards. One has /boot and the other /boot./firmware. The kernels on the /boot card are:
/boot/kernel.img
/boot/kernel7.img
/boot/kernel7l.img
/boot/kernel8.img
while the kernels on the /boot/firmware card are:
/boot/vmlinuz-6.1.0-rpi7-rpi-v6
/boot/vmlinuz-6.1.0-rpi7-rpi-v7
/boot/vmlinuz-6.1.0-rpi7-rpi-v7l
/boot/vmlinuz-6.1.0-rpi7-rpi-v8
Can anyone explain this difference? The only difference between the sd cards themselves is that the first one is 16GB and the second one is 8 GB.
