Raspberry Pi OS • Cannot configure microSD card for 3B+

We bought a 3B+ for my son, and a new power cable, but when we tried configuring the SD card via Raspberry Pi Imager it keeps saying there is an access error. So we bought a new micro SD card and tried again, still no luck. We tried on a different laptop, no luck, so we tried on two other computers and with yet another SD card and it still says error.

Can someone please tell me if they’ve also encountered this and what else I can try? I don’t know what to do next?
