I build low level tools for software security tooling using ebpf. I am very interested in (and have been playing with) eBPF for edge monitoring use cases with the Pi. That said, this journey has not been easy as enabling eBPF requires building a custom kernel, and even after doing that, I continue to find things that I dont run into on other linux distros out of the box. For example even after enabling eBPF having to add the clsact property on traffic control. As Pi is a wonderful tinkers and makers platform it seems strange to me that standard eBPF enablement is not a default feature.
Would love to see how we can gauge if there is broader Pi Engineering and/or Pi User community interest in getting eBPF enabled by default.
Thanks
Brian
