Raspberry Pi OS • Re: Corrupt /var/lib/dpkg/status on a new install

There must be an issue with the latest image. Facing same issue with my RPI4 / CM4 when trying to update & upgrade:

dpkg: error: parsing file '/var/lib/dpkg/status' near line 604 package 'bash-completion'

Downloading and flashing older image works fine:

https://downloads.raspberrypi.com/raspi ... m64.img.xz

Thanks for the workaround here. As it is quite a frustrating error, this should be fixed asap.
