Raspberry Pi OS • Extra kernels when updating

I have 15 pi's and update every week. Bookworm seems to have way more updates than previous versions. Also many of my units do Update- Initramfs multiple times each update. Since a good many of my units are older model 3 this takes a lot of time. Is there a setting somewhere that tells apt to remove the old kernel when installing a new kernel?
