As well as the previous kernel (which you shouldn't have to worry about), there are specific kernels for each type of Raspberry Pi.
On a Pi 3, you'll probably find you are using the -v8 kernel, which is for the earlier 64-bit capable systems. In that case you can uninstall the -v6, -v7 -v7l and -2712 kernels.
Check this with "uname -r" before removing anything!
The packages to remove will be the linux-image-*rpi-XXX and linux-headers-*rpi-XXX ones. Replace the XXX with the kernel type you want to remove.
