I've grown quite frustrated with the need to have a desktop/laptop running a scan-to-computer app when I really want the scans sent to my NAS. I've had Canon and HP all-in-one printer/scanners that work this way, I haven't tried going up to the >$400 price range for "Office" models, because it just seems like a stupid artificial distinction. I'm currently looking at dedicated document scanners like these
My concern is that I have yet to see any Pi/Linux scanning guides that result in being able to use the scanner by hitting the buttons on the scanner itself. It's always using a desktop app like xsane or something.
Does anyone know of any scanners that can scan directly to the Pi using the buttons on the scanner?
