When I insert the previous USB device, there are now TWO devices listed under /media/pi - both with the same name.
I am not sure how that could happen. Perhaps post the output of "ls -l" - ell ess minus ell - to demonstrate this happening, which might help resolve things, or identify where the issue is.I had problems with something appearing twice.
It might just be File Explorer caching, thinking a drive is still present, even after it's gone.
