This is a bit of a cop-out as it required an external service, but "Scan to Cloud" on my Epson EcoTank scans straight to Google Drive (and other services) from the scanner's front panel. Some of the services might sync directly to your Raspberry Pi's filesystem. If not, rclone should help.
