There's no easy answer to that. There seem to be bugs in all versions but, what may be seen as a bug by some is considered how it should be by the Imager developers when it comes to customisations - https://github.com/raspberrypi/rpi-imager/issues/1302What is the recommendation for the most "bug-free" imager version, please? Any experiences?
On Windows 10 I have 1.9.6 installed and have stopped it issuing the 'New version available' notification - viewtopic.php?t=394116 -
I also have 2.0.0 running alongside that - viewtopic.php?p=2350880#p2350880 - so I can pick and choose which to use.If Windows then create a String Value in HKCU\Software\Raspberry Pi\Imager called check_version set to "false".
On my Pi 4B Bookworm I am stuck using 1.8.5 because nothing later has been made available for that.
