Some of you might have experienced the same issue but some graphical apps that we can install on our RPIs from APT repositories come with a degraded interface where most buttons are missing their symbols to the point that it's almost impossible to use the app.
For demonstration, I will compare OBS and Mixx, both being popular applications available widely on most platforms and architecture.
Let's compare OBS (raspiOS version vs windows)

As you can see most buttons don't show anything.
The situation is even worse for Mixx (raspiOS version vs windows) - See next post below
However other apps, like Kdenlive for example, come with a perfect interface even though most icons and symbols are very specific. - See next post below
Those apps are designed to be operated visually. What's the point in releasing them if we can't use them properly ?
I have installed OBS many times on several RPIs and I always have the same issue.
So I have 2 questions :
- how come ? what's the explanation ? why are some apps officially released with an incomplete graphical interface that makes the app useless or extremely difficult to use ?
- are there fixes ? I searched the internet a lot about this before posting here, couldn't find anything useful but sometimes we're not searching for the good thing so...
