Raspberry Pi OS • Re: Upgrade still possible ?

Mmm, apt-mark showmanual lists ~400 packages and I'm far away from being a furious installer. apt history is empty and apt list --installed & dpkg -l roughly report ~1330 packages. Both list packages I bet were on initial image, but a very few one I installed with apt install. The difficult is to reconfigure/customize everything even thing that are from pure genuine distrib.
Not an easy task. What is worrying me most ATM is RealVNC Server I use headless with a weak password over ssh as I didn't want a third-party account. Now I see there is either the raspberry connect thing I can't use (because 3rd party account) and wayvnc for wayland. When I remember how long it took to me to have vnc working, I die once again. Upgrade won't be as easy as a backup I'm afraid.
ATM I reached to update the single software I installed from a foreign repository, just by replacing the binary. I was stuck by global apt update, but the soft Syncthing is also published as an archive single binary. First it failed because I downloaded arm64 instead of arm32... took me one hour just to understand the mistake :o
