I will double check that I am typing it properly. You do bring up a good point, On my windows machines I must enter an admin name and password but I have never been prompted to do so on the Pi.Do you really write the correct path including the protocol to use, likeI apologize, I should have been more clear. All my windows systems are running Windows 10 with all available updates, My Raspberry Pi is a 5 8gb using an M.2 hat with a 256gb Raspberry Pi SSD. Even when I try the I.P. address and share name I still get the same "location is not mounted" error. The locations I am trying to access on the server are available on all other windows system, I would just like to access them via the Pi file manager for moving files around, watching movies, music exc exc20260124_16h58m32s_grim.pngCode:
smb://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/sharename
When I on purpose use a wrong path to generate an error message I get
20260124_17h04m46s_grim.png
and finally
20260124_17h05m11s_grim.png
which is a warning consequent to the previous error message
So make sure to type a valid path in PCmanFM as I showed you in my first screencap above
Note : If you do this correctly and it still does not work, I believe the problem is on the server side (on Windows then... maybe a firewall or a GPO or else)
Note : have you ever been prompted to enter your credentials ? < important question, answer please
