I really appreciate the new version of Raspberry Pi OS based on bookworm which contains many improvements, however, after testing it a bit, I miss some things that I found natural in bullseye.
I understand that now the windows are all one block and that they are disconnected from each other but this is causing me a lot of limitations.
1) A software that I find very interesting for screenshots is Flameshot, I love this software and unfortunately it no longer works in the new version. I think similar applications have also stopped working like those for recording your screen or sharing your screen.
2) I no longer find an option to pin a window but other than that it is no longer possible to remove system borders. For example, I would much prefer to use Chromium without the gray bar but using the Chomium buttons and also saving some screen space. In bullseye it worked while in bookworm the gray bar still remains.
3) I have builds of some apps in AppImage format. In bookworm these do not work, in the end I understood that the problem in this case can be easily solved by installing the libfuse2 library, however perhaps for some this step may not be immediate.
4) Another software I use in bullseye is Anydesk which in the bookworm version no longer starts completely without returning errors. (in bullseye it also gave errors but it was enough to link some libraries to solve it, using the same procedure it doesn't start in bookworm)
I haven't tested everything thoroughly and I've already found something that bothers me compared to bullseye. If anyone can show me some solution I would appreciate it, in the next few days, if I have time, I will continue to test a bit and see if other limitations appear.
OT: I would like to switch to the 64 bit version when I'm sure to update to the new version, but do apps in Appimage format compiled for 32 bit also work on the 64 bit system?
