Raspberry Pi OS • Add Hostname to Desktop Image

I remember having a utility on Windows that would allow me to modify the desktop image to include things like available disk space, available memory, NIC speeds, hostname, etc.

I want to do something similar on my three RPis for at least the hostname to be sure which RPi I'm interfacing with when I use Raspberry Pi Connect.

Is there anything like that in the RPi universe? Let me know if this is not the best forum to ask this question.
