I have a Raspberry Pi 4B hooked to a 65-inch 4K television. I recently installed a fresh copy of Raspberry Pi OS (December 04, 2025) plus updates. Everything is so small on the screen that it is hard to read. I tried to change the resolution or activate pixel doubling, but I cannot find these options.
For example, if I run raspi-config and go to the Display options, I get
D2 Screen Blanking
D4 Composite
D5 4k60HDMI
D6 Onscreen Keyboard
D7 Keyboard Output
If I go to the top-line menu and pick Preferences/Control Center, then go to Display, I get
Screen Blanking
On-screen Keyboard
On-Screen Keyboard Location
I get the same thing if I right-click on the desktop and pick Desktop Preferences.
At this point I am able to make the mouse pointer and taskbar bigger, and change the system font.
What happened to resolution and pixel doubling?
Thanks,
Mike
