Hi
I'm wondering if anyone can help - I only have remote access to a pi5.
I'm trying to install pios, install SDDM and KDE plasma with the hope I can keep it on wayland.
Previously I had issues running wayland with swayvnc and always reverted back to X11 -- months later I see we are still having issues.
I'm currently trying to get this to work - but even X11 is no longer playing nice. I'm using the full install of Debian.
Can someone please tell me the magic to stop lightdm overriding everything I try and do? I used to be able to install SDDM, disable wayland and then configure kde - but in current versions it appears the OS is ignoring tasksel and update-alternatives, eve dpkg-reconfigure.
IDEALLY - I just want bookworm, SDDM, KDE and VNC on wayland - is that even possible because all my searches appear to go to dead ends.
Thanks.
