From the Raspberry Pi OS Bookworm Desktop click the network drop down and choose "Advanced Option" -> "Edit Connections...". In the dialog you can add and modify connections. The "General" tab of a connections settings has the settings for automatic connection and priority. I think if you simply connect the quick easy way once at each location the setting will normally be created with automatic connection enabled.
You can also do all the setup with the Network Manager TUI (text menus) and CLI (command line) programs (nmtui & nmcli) from a terminal prompt.
